چکیده

ABSTRACT Primordial black holes in the asteroid-mass window, which might constitute all dark matter, can be captured by stars when they traverse them at low enough velocity. After being placed on a bound orbit during star formation, repeatedly cross if happens to highly eccentric, slow down dynamical friction, and end up stellar core. The rate of these captures is highest haloes high matter density velocity dispersion, first form redshift z ∼ 20. We compute this capture for low-metallicity 0.3–$1\, {\rm M_{\odot }}$, find that fraction formed dwarf galaxies would primordial hole, then grow accretion mass may close total mass. show does not depend their over should much affected external tidal perturbations. These low-mass could discovered today low-metallicity, old binary systems Milky Way containing surviving main-sequence or white dwarf, via gravitational waves emitted merger with another compact object. No mechanisms standard evolution theory are known below Chandrasekhar mass, so detecting hole fundamentally impact our understanding evolution, early Universe.

Tidal Capture of Stars by Intermediate-Mass Black Holes

Recent X-ray observations and theoretical modelling have made it plausible that some ultraluminous X-ray sources (ULX) are powered by intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs). N-body simulations have also shown that runaway merging of stars in dense star clusters is a way to form IMBHs. In the present paper we have performed N -body simulations of young clusters such as MGG-11 of M82 in which IMBH...

Accretion flows around stellar mass black holes and neutron stars

In this review, I summarize the main X-ray/hard X-ray properties of the accretion flows around black holes and neutron stars based on recent broad-band spectral and timing observations performed by the BeppoSAX and Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer satellites. Emphasizing the spectral and timing similarities observed between black holes and neutron stars, I discuss on the most likely accretion geomet...

Can stellar mass black holes be quark stars?

We investigate the possibility that stellar mass black holes, with masses in the range of 3.8M⊙ and 6M⊙, respectively, could be in fact quark stars in the Color-Flavor-Locked (CFL) phase. Depending on the value of the gap parameter, rapidly rotating CFL quark stars can achieve much higher masses than standard neutron stars, thus making them possible stellar mass black hole candidates. Moreover,...

Primordial Black Holes and Primordial Nucleosynthesis I: Effects of Hadron Injection from Low Mass Holes

We investigate the influence of hadron injection from evaporating primordial black holes (PBHs) in the early stage of the primordial nucleosynthesis era (t ≃ 10−3 − 104 sec). The emitted quark-antiquark pairs or gluons immediately fragment into a lot of hadrons and scatter off the thermal plasma which is constituted by photons, electrons and nucleons. For the relatively low mass holes we point ...

Primordial Black Holes

Primordial black holes (PBHs) are a profound signature of primordial cosmological structures and provide a theoretical tool to study nontrivial physics of the early Universe. The mechanisms of PBH formation are discussed and observational constraints on the PBH spectrum, or effects of PBH evaporation, are shown to restrict a wide range of particle physics models, predicting an enhancement of th...
